Yoga is Samadhi
Be a light unto yourself.
Let that light illuminate others.
Our Mission
Make the timeless wisdom of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition available to all
AHYMSIN Switzerland was founded on a crystal-clear autumn day in 2025, while meditating on a wooden bench overlooking the breathtaking Alpine landscape of Chandolin. It was born from a shared and heartfelt intention: to make the timeless wisdom of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition available to all seekers of Truth.
AHYMSIN - the "Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International" - is a global family of yoga and meditation practitioners dedicated to preserving and sharing the ancient teachings of the Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition, as transmitted by Swami Rama of the Himalayas through the sacred guru–disciple lineage.
Founded in 2007 by Swami Veda Bharati, a direct disciple of Swami Rama, AHYMSIN is headquartered at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, at the foothills of the Himalayas in Rishikesh, India.
As part of the AHYMSIN family, we are guided by three simple principles: Love. Serve. Remember.
Love all, exclude none. "Ahimsa"—non-violence—is the foundation of Yoga and lies at the heart of AHYMSIN’s mission.
Serve selflessly, without seeking recognition or reward.
Remember your true nature, beyond all false identifications.

What is yoga
“Yoga is samadhi”, a state of freedom from all fears, pains and sufferings.
The first message of the Himalayan Masters is freedom from all fears.
The ancient Sage named Vyasa, in his commentary and explanation of the Yoga Sutras states with beautiful simplicity, “Yoga is Samadhi.”
Samadhi, the deepest state of meditation, wherein one realizes one’s own true nature as being free from all conditions, fears and limitations, is the natural state of the mind. For the seeker of the highest truth, that samadhi is to be experienced for oneself.
The second message is: gradually become aware of the reality within.
Much of our life is spent looking outward for fulfillment. Yet we remain unfulfilled. The Himalayan Yoga Tradition invites us to turn inward and discover the deeper dimensions of our being.
On this path, meditation, contemplation, and self-study are of central importance.
Who am I?
"That is the question that drives all human beings. To consciously realize this as the question of life is the first big step on a sacred journey.
The next big step is to find the answer."
- Swami Rama -
